2012 is off to a great start

Lots of exciting new things have been happening with us so far this year! From January to March we were touring South America on Celebrity Infinity, performing two different 45-minute headline shows in English and with me providing some Spanish translations. The demographic was very much international, so our shows were tailored to be as visual as possible, and we included our “Duet of Magic and Music” with me playing the piano and Kyle performing magic.  We’ve also added several new illusions including a new audience member levitation and a motorcycle appearance, and we were very pleased with the response from our audiences! Throughout the season we also had the pleasure of working with professional tango dancers Pampas Devils Gauchos and comedy juggler Steve Carte. We had a lot of fun with them on the Infinity; they definitely made it a memorable experience for us.

During our time performing in South America we were fortunate enough to visit 5 new countries including Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Peru & Ecuador. Some of my favorite experiences from our time there were enjoying our evenings in Buenos Aires, soaking up the sun on the beaches of Punta del Este, walking with thousands of penguins in Puerto Madryn (click HERE to see video of our visit to the penguin colony), and visiting Incan ruins in Peru. To our surprise, we discovered one of our favorite cities there too, Ushuaia, Argentina. It reminds me a lot of Alaska with it’s small town feeling and snow capped mountains, but it’s much more exotic. We took a boat tour down the Beagle Channel and it turned out to be one of the best experiences we’ve ever had. We saw lots of bird colonies, South American sea lions and indescribable Patagonian landscape and glaciers. Another fun memory was taking the chair lift up to the top of the mountain in Ushuaia, and then doing the one-hour hike uphill to see the Martial Glacier. Overall, Ushuaia was one of our favorite cities and we hope we have a chance to visit it again one day!
