These past few months have been busy as usual for us! This summer we have been performing on the beautiful new “Disney Fantasy” and flying back to Las Vegas every other week. Although traveling so much can be exhausting, it has been really nice for for us, because we’ve been able to work on new illusion projects and finish furnishing our new home back in Las Vegas. The summers in Las Vegas are scorching and we’d already reached 100+ degree temperatures by May, so it’s funny that we look forward to going back to the Caribbean to get some relief from the heat!
We performed our first shows on the Fantasy back in May, and installing the show for the first time in a new theater can be a demanding and complicated process, but we were thoroughly impressed with the technical teams onboard. We successfully installed all our of our shows – our illusion show in the theater, our kid’s show in the D Lounge, late night show in the Tube, and guest appearance in the farewell show – all within a matter of days and all without a hitch. And to top it off, our opening night performances in the Walt Disney Theatre were met with standing ovations! During our time off between shows on the Fantasy we’ve been enjoying Disney’s private island in the Bahamas, Castaway Cay as well as visits to St. Thomas and Mexico. Here’s a link to a quick video of us enjoying our day off at Castaway Cay: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5lgCWgzr7Ws
Also, I was recently interviewed by Gwyn Auger for her “Magic Assistant” column and I was honored to be featured in this month’s edition of Vanish Magazine! In the article I talk about the show, our travels, my experiences as Miss Las Vegas and what it’s like performing with your better half.
