Updates from the Month of April

The month of April has been another busy one for us! For the most part we’ve been in Las Vegas, working on new illusions, doing repairs and maintenance on the props and getting ready for our upcoming contract on the Disney Wonder. We had few media spots this month too – our magic appeared in the UK on BBC One’s TV show Now You See It and we also had mentions in the April issues of industry magazine’s of Genii and The Linking Ring recapping our performances a the Winter Carnival of Magic and at the Magic Castle last month.

Exactly one year after filming our own episode of Penn & Teller: Fool Us, we were back at Fool Us again, but this time in the audience for the filming of season 3 here in Las Vegas! It was fun supporting our friends who were performing this year, and Season 3 is going to be great with lots of surprises. By the way, that’s our friend Ryan Stock pictured in the audience with us – keep an eye out for him doing some crazy stunts on America’s Got Talent this year!

On April 11th we headlined in the monthly magic series Celebrities of Magic in Bakersfield, California, and performed to a sold out audience! This was our 2nd time performing there at the Gaslight Melodrama Theater and it’s always a fun crowd.

Back in Las Vegas we caught Piff the Magic Dragon’s show at the Flamingo, and afterward at dinner we had the chance to meet the amazing Mr. Piffles. It was all I could do not to sneak him home with me, he was so adorable and definitely stole the show!

At the end of the month we had the chance perform for the kids at Sunrise Children’s Hospital here in Las Vegas, and it was such rewarding experience for us. We were grateful to Win-Win Entertainment for organizing everything for us and giving us the opportunity to share some of our magic with the patients, brightening their day a little.

And over on our Facebook page we’ve shared a couple new videos including a vlog of our road trip to California and a cool quick change video:

Now that the month of April is winding down, the props have already left for Miami and we’ll be flying to Colombia soon to join the Disney Wonder to perform on a Panama Canal Cruise. This is the longest break that we’ve ever had between cruises – 8 months – and we’re looking forward to being back in the Walt Disney Theatre for a while! Stay tuned for more updates from our travels in South & Central America, and then on to Canada and Alaska over the summer. Thanks for reading! – Mistie
